What I did…
One of the things to do in Chiang Mai is one of their famous cooking courses. So we all booked up on the Sunday ready and rareing to go on the Monday morning. After being picked up by the cooking school we headed to a local market to pick up some produce to cook with. Here we went through all of the different herbs, spices and rice’s we would be cooking with throughout the day. We got to the cooking school with all our ingredients and got straight to it. We cooked 7 courses in total, and we ate them all! Great day! I cooked the following, but you had a choice of 3 meals for each course:
Pad Thai
Green Curry Paste
Green Curry (Made from the paste)
Prawn & Cocunut Milk Soup
Chicken Cashew
Spring Rolls from scratch with a peanut sauce dip
Fried banana in Toffee & Coconut sugar with Ice Cream
When I thought on, I actually took a picture of the food I made. But on the whole my mind was elswhere… ie eating… to be bothered about my camera. Below are the few photos I did take. Look out for their sign above the door! We definately did by the end of the day! haha…
Went out on the night after the course for Anja’s last night before going to Laos… we all got shitfaced and I ended up walking home and falling to sleep OUTSIDE my room door on the floor… with the door key in my bag! Jase and Ed woke me up and got me into bed… cheers lads!
