What I did…
We reached the train station and set about finding the bus to the port. Jase managed to stub his toe pretty bad so developed a limp. After a freezing cold ferry journey to Langkawi we found a guest house on the west of the island.
We got what was basically a run down villa between me, Brogan, Ed and Jase. Very spacious, two rooms and a fridge to keep our beers chilled! Quick dip in the pool, a banana shake and we all went to rent motorbikes for 24 hours. To the off license for booze and we headed back for food. The drinking games started after dinner and after a few games it was time of circle of death. More silly rules and eventually I drew the 4th king. Ed was all over the place but the rest of us were not far behind.
Up late the next day due to the late one last night and got food and went straight out on the bikes. We arrived at a cable car but was closed due to high winds. So we went to Seven Wells Waterfall down the road slightly early. It turned out to be fun and also very funny as Jason’s expense. It was basically a natural water slide and we slid down dropping into a deep pool at the bottom, a hell of a lot of fun. Just as we were leaving Jase dropped his bottle into one of the shallow pools. To retrieve it he went into the waist high water but quickly realised it was deeper than he thought. To keep his t-shirt dry he lifted it up from the water. With his other hand he then swiped for the bottle, slipping on the bottom and going completely under! He popped back up to see me Brogan and Ed pointing and laughing, as were most others there too!
After Jase had dried off we set off to find the crocodile farm that apart from me, nobody wanted to go to! It was exactly what it said it was, a farm, with crocodiles in pens doing… well… nothing. Not moving a muscle. We did see a crocodile show at the end with the guy putting his head inside the crocs mouth. Obviously I took a video hoping to get 250 pound when he removed his body without a head. No such luck but I did get my own squeaky pet croc from the gift shop via Brogan. We rode around the island and then back to town to drop off the bikes.
We bumped into Marcus and he got booze to add to our collection. Langkawi is duty free everywhere so it was pretty cheap too! After food we got back to the villa to play cards. Guess what?! Yes, we ended up playing circle of death for the second night in a row. Ed was very drunk again and to make things worse he drew the 4th king. After meeting his dinner again he managed to finish the drink but did not escape the embarrassment. Brogan got it all on video!
Up early the next day to check out. Spent a few hours on the beach before the storm began and we retreated for shakes. Back to the villa for our taxi to the port and our ferry to Penang, with a KFC… obviously!
