What I did…
Hangover central on the boat over but everyone held it together for the hour long boat trip. The amount of sea water I got slapped in my face must of woke me up!
We got to Bamboo and saw the paradise we had been looking for. It was quiet, there were about 30 people there, perfect! We ate lunch and chilled reading books all afternoon. Lay in a hammock looking out on the most picturesque view. Paradise. We ate dinner and drank water as the detox was well under way. Me, Claire, Helen and Martin played cards until 10PM at which point I went back to the dorm to sleep. I don’t think they lasted much longer.
The next day was spent on the beach, chilling, reading and basically doing as little as possible. It was full moon night and the bar was trying to organise a boat to a different island so we could all party there, but instead decided to have the party on Bamboo. We got showered and changed and headed to the bar to eat. I got the Barracuda… OMG it was amazing. The fish, the sauce, the rice, the salad… take me back now! We carried on drinking all night (the detox was going really well!) and I got to the point where I had to get into bed for fear of being ill. I was ill, through my mozzie net onto the floor. Oooopsy!
Next morning and I’d had enough. Time to move on, so I packed up and got the boat back to Shnooky. I don’t want to stay another night here so I’m getting the night bus to Siem Reap at 7PM tonight. See you there!
