Dreamtime – Eco Retreat, November 2010

What I did…

We got to Dreamtime after a lot of messing about deciding how to get there, we got there just after midday, after a 2.5 KM hike through the Jungle with no real clue and a few random signs to point us in the right direction, and got some food. Toasted tuna baguette was pretty special! We dropped our bags off at our hut and made our way down river, through the river, to find a waterfall. It is a very beautiful place to explore but there are spider webs everywhere! Every 2 foot there is another one, bigger than the last… good job I don’t mind spiders!

We made our way back up towards where we were going to eat, dinner is always at 6PM, and had a beer waiting for food. We had an amazing fish, sticky rice and veg meal. It was huge but we managed to eat it all. Chilled out and hit the hay.

Next few days was basically our chill out time before hitting the madness that was Tubing in Vang Vieng, we played an epic game of Monopoly, showered in waterfalls and basically did nothing too taxing. Dreamtime lived up to it’s name!
